Figma presentations: import designs and PDF
Build a presentation from a local Figma file. Import supported text and shapes, add PDF pages and linked videos, and check conversion limits before presenting.

Choose Import file in the toolbar (Ctrl/⌘+I) or drop a file on the canvas. Images remain movable and resizable. Each imported PDF page becomes an image with a presentation frame; its text is not editable. You can undo the import as one action.
Turn a local design file into a presentation
Import a local Figma .fig file, choose its pages, then choose Editable text and shapes or Preserve appearance. Editable mode keeps supported text and simple shapes editable; complex artwork becomes images. Preserve appearance makes top-level layers into images. Review the conversion report: effects, layout rules, component overrides, and some masks are not preserved exactly. No account or API token is required, and the source file stays unchanged.
Read the design import limitsLink a video
Use the video tool and paste a supported YouTube, Vimeo, or direct video URL. The document stores the link, not the video bytes. Select the video to adjust its playback options, then test it in Slide Show. Playback needs the provider and network; browser autoplay rules may require a click. YouTube in an exported HTML presentation needs HTTP(S) hosting. The desktop app plays direct video files only from HTTPS links. Cloud snapshots allow the supported providers and direct videos on the share service’s own origin.
